India vs England 1st ODI Live Streaming Star Cricket ESPN HD

Ind vs Eng Live Streaming 1st ODI

Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot hosts the first ODI between India and England. This would be first ever international cricket match to be played at Rajkot and hence it would certainly provide a housefull attendance.

India has started taking big steps towards a revival as they have dropped star batsman Sehwag and replaced him with Cheteshwar Pujara. After a prolonged out of form performances by Sehwag, it was a right move to replace him by a man in form. Pujara has proved his worth in the test series and he is efficient enough to adjust in the shorter version of the game. He may make his ODI debut if he plays in the first ODI.

Dhoni as well as the other captains are tested with the new ODI rules. It is pretty difficult for captains to play seven batsmen and complete quota of overs with part timers after the introduction of new ODI rules.

England dominated India in the test series and did good enough in the T20 series to level it 1-1. But after coming back to India from a new year vacation, they haven't fared well in the warm up matches. They lost to India A first followed by a loss against Delhi. They need to regain their form before they find themselves in a trouble in this ODI series.

Captain Cook was in exceptional form during the test series. A lot is expected from him for this ODI series. Even the likes of Ian Bell, Pietersen and Morgan can play an important role here. England bowling looks good and it may create trouble for the Indian batsmen.

Indian captain Dhoni is in great form as he scored many runs against Pakistan and single handed fought in the batting department. Raina has played well in patches. Kohli and Gambhir need to be consistent. Rahane, Sharma and Pujara need to click well if India has to win.

Last time England defeated India in an ODI in India was way back in April 2006. Since then England has lost 12 matches here against India. A good opportunity for India to extend this lead and a good chance for England to turn the tables on to India.
