Team like Rajasthan Royals have performed good so far and hopefully they don't observe a slump in their performance. Mumbai Indians have played well in patches and all they lack is consistency. Royal Challengers Bangalore are the most fancied team this year. Well lead by Kohli, the team is doing good as a bowling and batting unit. The most popular and successful team in IPL history, Chennai Super Kings is surprisingly failing a bit at home but overall winning enough matches to stay in top four of IPL's points table. So far so good, four top teams are Chennai, Rajasthan, Hyderabad and Bangalore. But you never know because Mumbai and Punjab are very close to top four.

Kings XI Punjab vs DD (2nd match)

Feroz Shah Kotla stadium hosts another match of Delhi as they face neighbouring state's team of Punjab. Last match for Delhi brought them a sigh of relief as they registered a phenomenal victory against Mumbai. A good knock from Rohit Sharma guided Mumbai to a big total. But a spirited batting performance from Sehwag and Jayawardene took Delhi home for their first win this year.

For Kings XI Punjab, the last win against Pune Warriors was an unbelievable clinch! Chasing more than 180 runs, Manpreet Singh and David Miller played the innings of their lives to take Punjab home. With both the teams having registered big wins recently, this match at Feroz Shah Kotla promises to be a tight contest.

David Warner didn't open for Delhi as that was something new for all of us. Probably Jayawardene feels he should play a bit down the order and be a good finisher. Mumbai Indians feature world's two greatest batsmen Sachin and Ponting. But they haven't yet treated cricket fans with the performance that they are capable of. On the other hand Dinesh Karthik has impressed everyone with his heroic innings in two matches. Pollard has scored well and so has Rohit Sharma. Mumbai Indians need to tweak their strategy a bit to bring him up the order. Bowling wise the team is doing good.

2nd match - Kings XI Punjab vs Pune Warriors India

This match could be termed as the contest of equals. Both the teams have won two matches each (with Punjab played one match less than Pune). Both are looking for good wins to topple few teams and climb up the points tally. Both the teams are full of talented cricketers who are just striving hard to click on time.

Skipper Gilchrist is getting starts for Punjab but he needs to build on those innings to bigger knocks. Same is the case of David Hussey. Praveen Kumar and Gony have bowled nice spells to keep the opponents in check. Azhar Mahmood is doing pretty well with bowling but he hasn't been upto the mark with his bat.

For Pune, the unavailability of Yuvraj Singh is hurting them the most. The swashbuckling batsman can turn the track of match with his bat as well as slow left armers. Captain Mathews hasn't impressed at all with the strategies he has implemented in the matches. Inclusion of Finch and Steve Smith has helped the team a bit. Uthappa in form can also be a boost to the team.

So they need to accelerate right from the power plays at the start. Michael Hussey is scoring runs for CSK and so is MS Dhoni. Raina doesn't look in his golden touch this time. Overall we have an exciting match on hand as these two heavyweights clash for an IPL match.

RR vs RCB (2nd Match today)

Another match today that promises to be a tight contest after we have seen Rajasthan Royals coming out of the blues and racing upto the top of points tally. Although beating Bangalore at their home is a big ask but we can't write off Rajasthan's capability.

Dravid has led the team from the front scoring runs consistently. His team mate Ajinkya Rahane may not have had big knocks this season but his consistent innings have contributed to team's victories. Rajasthan Royals would absolutely love to have a win here and continue topping the points table.

On the other hand RCB have played four matches at home and won all of them. So they are considered as favourites to win today. But overall a good contest where we would see technically sound Dravid and Rahane taking on RCB bolwers and we will also see the swashbuckling Gayle, Kohli and AB de Villiers taking on RR bowlers like Sreesanth, Cooper and Trivedi. He has the support of world's best fast bowler Dale Steyn who can trouble swashbuckling batsmen with the variety of his pace and swing. Ishant Sharma has also come in handy at many occassions.

Comparitively Hyderabad's batting is not upto the mark. Good knocks in patches have helped them win matches. Shikhar Dhawan's absence is felt and this overburdens Sangakkara and Cameron White. It is the bowling line up that helps the team defend totals that are below par.

Adam Gilchrist will apply his previous experience of playing at Hyderabad

Gilchrist who leads Punjab was disappointed after two straight losses. But he managed a win against Kolkata and would love to see team continue winning. He has played a lot of matches here in Hyderabad when he used to be a part of Deccan Chargers. His experience here will help the team's performance.

Sehwag's 25 against Bangalore looked good and all he needs to do is convert these starts into big ones. Warner has played well but in patches.

Chennai Super Kings has played four and won two. They are now on sixth position and a big win here against Delhi can bring them on fourth position replacing Mumbai Indians. CSK openers haven't been consistent. Michael Hussey had to sit out as Albie Morkel played against Pune Warriors India. Chennai need to recover from their loss against Pune Warriors.

Chennai skipper Dhoni shocked after the loss against Pune would love to win today against Delhi

Another swashbuckling batsman that featured last year in Chennai's team was Faf du Plesis. Good news for CSK is that he is available for today's match.
